This is my first book, part one of a two part series following the building of a Little Samson steam tractor.

It is A5 and has over 80 pages loaded with pictures.
Part two is being written now as the build progresses and I expect to publish it around mid 2008.

The book is easy-going reading, there are no dimensions or plans just descriptions of how I tackled each part, where I got it wrong and how I fixed it!

The engine started out as a set of raw castings and metal, with a set of plans. The castings are available from here.

I had little equipment when I started and very little engineering experience, but I had always wanted a traction engine!
